Roofing materials really depend on the type of roof that you have. If you have a metal roof you are going to need metal roofing materials. Even if the frame of your home is somewhere a little known then you will probably need some sort of mental materials in order to get up to, accurately repair, and cinch up your roof.
However if your roof is of different type like thatch then your needs will be much different then if it is metal. You should consider shingles for the majority of homes in the modernized Western world and while rubber or roofing materials may be common for some instances of roofs, it is not often found that you need will need palm thatch roof material.
